Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the findmynew.work dashboard hosted at findmynew.work and the companion command-line tool fmwork (together, the “Service”). By signing in or running the CLI against the hosted backend you agree to these terms. If you self-host the backend, the operator of that deployment sets their own terms; what follows applies only to our hosted service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. One account per person; don't share credentials.

Accounts and authentication

Accounts are created on first Google sign-in. The CLI pairs with your account through a per-user bearer token you can rotate or revoke from the dashboard at any time. You are responsible for keeping that token, and the device hosting the CLI, secure.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the Service to submit deceptive, fraudulent, or spam applications.
• Don't target job listings or candidates that you don't have a legitimate interest in. The Service is for individual job seekers, not bulk recruitment farming.
• Respect the terms of service of every job board you connect — LinkedIn, hh.ru, Wellfound, GetMatch, and any future source. The CLI runs in your browser session, which means actions it takes are attributed to you and constrained by those third-party terms.
• Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent rate limits on the hosted API. Don't use it as a generic LLM gateway.
• Don't upload illegal content, malware, or anything that infringes third-party rights.

Your content

You retain ownership of your résumé text, screening answers, scoring instructions, and any other content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process and store that content for the sole purpose of running the Service for you (scoring, drafting, persistence, backup). The licence terminates when you delete the content or your account.

LLM-generated output

Cover letters, résumé tunings, suggested screening answers, and similar outputs are produced by a large language model. They may be inaccurate, embellished, or contain statements that don't reflect your actual experience. You are responsible for reviewing every draft before it is submitted to a third party. We do not warrant the accuracy, truthfulness, or fitness for purpose of any model output.

Third-party services

The Service interacts with services we don't control — Google sign-in, the LLM provider configured by the operator, and the job boards you connect via the CLI. Their availability, behaviour, and terms are their own. We are not liable for their downtime or for actions a job board takes against your account (including suspension for bot-like behaviour). The CLI runs in your browser session with your real cookies; actions it takes are attributable to you.

Availability

The Service is provided on an as-available basis. We aim for high uptime but do not commit to a contractual SLA at this stage. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Significant breaking changes will be announced in the dashboard at next sign-in.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, or place an unreasonable load on shared infrastructure. You can stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. Deletion removes the user record, résumés, vacancies, and screening answers within 30 days; some backup snapshots may persist until the rotation window described in the privacy policy elapses.

Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100), AND WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOST WAGES, OR LOST DATA. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIABILITIES; IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) content you submit, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights or job-board terms of service through the Service.

Changes to these terms

We will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page when these terms change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal — without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
